Rev. Benjamin Carver

Serves at Shem Creek Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC and is the author of Redemption in the Minor Prophets. He attended Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (M. Div., Th.M.) and researched and wrote on the Trinitarian theology of Jonathan Edwards. In addition to serving at SCPC, he enjoys reading, riding his BMW RT motorcycle, kayaking the A.C.E. Basin, cheering for Chelsea FC, and coaching soccer for USA/Mt. Pleasant.

 

 

Emily Thickens

Emily serves as the Director of Children's Ministry at Shem Creek Presbyterian Church. She has enjoyed working with children in several different capacities including summer camps, substitute teaching, and teaching toddler Sunday School classes. Emily is employed at The Citadel and recently earned her M. Ed. in Counselor Education. In her free time, she likes to read, visit historical landmarks, and go birding.
